These are a multi-process bead, the kind of thing that would be prohibitive nowadays because of the labor cost.
I keep wanting to call these beads purple, but they really are pink opal glass. I think it's the combination of pink and black that gives them a kind of purple look.
In any case, these are very fun beads! You can't tell from the scan, but the surface is a shiny black.
Each a little different combination of colors, they have a pattern around the edges and a shiny sliced black glass front and back.
